At LaFleur Ballroom Dance Society, dancing is about more than just what happens in the studio—it’s about stepping out, setting goals, and sharing unforgettable experiences.

We are constantly growing and thrilled to offer a wide variety of events designed to inspire, challenge, and celebrate our students!

Competitive Dancing

Take your dancing to the competition floor! We travel to events all across the country to support and compete alongside our students in a variety of categories.

Pro-Am Competitions: Step onto the floor with Alan or Megan as your professional partner, competing against other student-teacher duos.

Am/Am Training: We provide dedicated, high-level coaching for amateur couples preparing to compete together.

Youth Competitions: We are passionate about training children and teens, helping the next generation of dancers build strong technique and floorcraft for the competitive arena.

Dance Vision Medal Exams

For students who love structure and clear goals, we participate in Dance Vision Medal Exams. These pre-scheduled exams provide a fantastic opportunity to graduate through established syllabus levels, test your skills, and receive highly valuable, objective feedback from professional adjudicators on your progress.

Show Dance Performances

Experience the thrill of the spotlight! In a showcase performance, you get to be the star. With hands-on guidance from Alan and Megan, you will select a song and a theme to create a special show dance performed one-on-one with your instructor. Complete with custom costuming and tailored choreography, this is your moment to shine and share your passion with a supportive audience.

Society Outings

Ready to take your dancing out into the “wild”? Once a month, we host a Society Outing where we venture out to local dance events as a group. Because we absolutely love trying new restaurants, we always kick off the evening by meeting up for great food and socializing. Afterward, we head to the venue where you get our full attention. We dance with you, help you navigate the floor, and ensure you feel completely comfortable and confident in a real-world social dancing environment.

Date: July 11th
Location: The Olympia Center
Highlights: Dancers aged 50 and better are invited to demonstrate their technical prowess in both Am-Am and Pro-Am categories. From foundational Bronze to advanced Gold levels, athletes can showcase their artistry through group heats and choreographed solo routines.
